The foursome joins the previously announced Chris Hemsworth, Adrianne Palicki and Josh Peck in the film, which follows a group of small-town teenagers who rise up to battle invading Russian (and in the remake, Chinese) soldiers.

Cruise — who made his big screen debut in 2008 as the young Will Smith in “Seven Pounds” — will play Daryl, the son of the town’s mayor.

Hutcherson (“Journey to the Center of the Earth;” “Bridge to Terabithia”) will play Robert, the role originally played by C. Thomas Howell.

Lucas will step into the role of Erica, the head cheerleader and girlfriend of Matt Eckert (played by Peck).

Hodge (best known for his recurring roles on FOX’s “Mental” and “Bones”) will play Danny, the town’s big man on campus who helps start up the fight against the soldiers.

Filming is slated to begin next month in Detroit, and the group of young actors will undergo military training in the coming weeks.

The “Red Dawn” remake is scheduled to hit theaters on Sept. 24, 2010.

Fox To Air Two Hour Octo-mom Special

LOS ANGELES - Is Access dropping its ban on Octomom coverage? Yes, because there’s finally actual TV news about her worth reporting.

“Octomom: The Incredible Unseen Footage” will air as a two-hour special on Aug. 19 on FOX, Access Hollywood has learned.

The feature will chronicle the saga of Nadya Suleman, who gave birth to eight children in January 2009.

According to FOX, the one-time special will provide “an intimate look inside Suleman’s life.”

Featuring never-before-seen footage, the show will allow “viewers to witness the emotional struggles, physical complications and financial burdens of this single mother of 14.”

Suleman was already a mother of six children when she gave birth to the octuplets.

“From the day the octuplets were born, cameras had unprecedented access to every area of Suleman’s life. For more than seven months, cameras documented Suleman, capturing incredible footage, including the private moments and reactions of Suleman’s family, as well as Suleman’s own feelings, doubts and fears,” FOX said in a press release.

Megan Fox is considered the hottest woman in the world and yet the sultry starlet suffers serious attacks when she catches a glimpse of herself on screen.

At the Los Angeles Film Festival premiere of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, 23-year-old Megan Fox said, “I’m not coping very well with all this [fame]. Really I’m insane and I don’t know how to control my mouth, but I’m working on it.”
In the midst of all the Transformers hoopla, Fox’s star has risen very quickly. She tends to agree: "There are people who get clearly over-hyped. I was in one movie and in my opinion I should not be famous at all. But the movie was really successful and whatever part I served in it, I did. “I have love in my life, a soul mate — absolutely,” he said in a new interview in Parade magazine. “When someone asked me why Angie and I don’t get married, I replied, ‘Maybe we’ll get married when it’s legal for everyone else.’ I stand by that, although I took a lot of flak for saying it — hate mail from religious groups.”

The “Inglorious Basterds” star explained that his decision stems from his position that all people should have equality.

I believe everyone should have the same rights. They say gay marriage ruins families and hurts kids. Well, I’ve had the privilege of seeing my gay friends being parents and watching their kids grow up in a loving environment,” he said.

Pitt said he is angered over the criticisms he and Jolie have received for not getting married.

“I resent people telling others how to live! It drives me mental! Just the other night, I heard this TV reverend say that Angie and I were setting a bad example because we were living out of wedlock, and people should not be duped by us,” Pitt recounted. “It made me laugh. What damn right does anyone have to tell someone else how to live if they’re not hurting anyone? How many times do you think real love comes to someone in a lifetime? If you’re lucky, maybe two or three.”

While criticisms continue to upset him, Pitt is focused on being a dad.

“Children are a dominant value in my life now, and they weren’t before,” he said. “They were always something I thought I’d get around to having when the time was right. It wasn’t what I was really seeking. In a way, I think I had to go and exhaust me before I could be good at being a parent. This family is full of life! There are laughs, aggravations, irritations, but at the end of the day, it’s fun. When life is really good, it’s messy.”

Pitt also said he supports his youngsters — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox — and he wants for them, what they want for themselves in life.

“Would it bother me if a child of mine turns out to be gay? No, not one bit. Listen, I want my kids to live the lives they want to live. I want them to be fulfilled. I hope I teach my kids to be who they really are,” he said.

Victoria Beckham to be judge on American Idol

As the dust settles on the shocking departure of Paula Abdul, 47, from next season’s American Idol, now comes confirmation from Victoria Beckham’s publicist that the former Posh Spice, 35, will make a “one-off appearance” as a guest judge on the top-rated FOX show, reports Britain’s Sky News.

Just don’t expect Beckham to take up a permanent perch next to judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi – as she reportedly doesn’t wish to take time away from overseeing her fashion line.

Today's Fact or Fiction is about Victoria Beckham taking "facial expression" lessons before appearing on 'American Idol'. The British singer-turned-fashion-designer was determined to impress during her first stint as a judge on the TV talent show and called on some experts to give her advice. A source said:

"Victoria knows she has a very thick British accent and is sometimes misunderstood in America. She wanted to come across the best she could on 'American Idol', so she took some private lessons on how to properly pronounce words and how to make appropriate facial expressions.

GMTV's Andrew Castle Says that his daughter almost died after taking Tamiflu

Mr Castle said that Georgina, the elder of his two daughters, who has asthma, suffered a "respiratory Swine flu: GMTV presenter Andrew Castle says his daughter 'almost died' after taking Tamiflu collapse" after being given the medicine at Alleyn's School in Dulwich, south London, which was the centre of one of Britain's first outbreaks in May.

The confrontation came as they discussed a report in the British Medical Journal which suggested that it should not be given to children under 12.

Researchers in Oxford called for the current policy of offering antivirals to be reconsidered, highlighting possible side effects such as vomiting and dehydration.

They concluded that taking Tamiflu or another antiviral, Relenza, could do otherwise healthy children more harm than good.

Georgina, 16, who is a promising singer tipped as the "next Charlotte Church", was studying for her GCSEs when fellow pupils returned from the half term break displaying symptoms of the virus.

The school was closed and students were brought in with their parents to be given Tamiflu, as was the practice at the time.

Mr Castle said that his wife, Sophia, told the Health Protection Agency staff that Georgina suffered from asthma but had flu-like symptoms and was advised to give her a double dose.

The next day she collapsed on the floor, barely able to breath with her face turning grey, according to Mr Castle.

She spent three days in isolation in St George's Hospital in south London, where she was given oxygen. But tests for the H1N1 virus were negative.

Mr Castle publicly praised the school's handling of the outbreak, although he now believes that the antiviral was more harmful than any symptoms she may have had.

"Nobody checked that she had swine flu before the Health Protection Agency just handed this Tamiflu out," he told Mr Burnham.

"We suffered, Georgina suffered and a lot of kids suffered in the school, very heavily."

Lindsay Lohan Girlfriend Ronson to host Reality Show

In case you didn’t know, Samantha Ronson is getting her own reality show. Sigh. The only thing interesting about following the life of a lesbian DJ with the body of a 10 year old boy, is that THIS lesbian DJ is Lindsay Lohan’s on again off again girlfriend who is currently in the off again position.

Actually, the lesbian part is kind of interesting .

Unfortunately (or fortunately) Ms. Lohan will not be appearing in this reality show. When Samantha asked her to appear, she refused and called the idea “dumb”. Lindsay is attempting to revitalize her career and feels that a reality show would be more of a setback than a step forward. We couldn’t agree more!!! With the amount of reality shows there are (and the fact that ANYONE can get one), we are almost ready to boycott reality shows that aren’t competitions or game shows (except for The Hills. Love that shizz!).

Lindsay is rumored to have signed on to director Robert Rodriguez’s (Desperado, Sin City) latest film Machete, which is also rumored to feature Robert Deniro, Jonah Hill, Michelle Rodriguez and Steven Seagal. Not a bad way to revive your career.

Britney did not neglected her children's discipline!!!!

Britney Spears was spotted shopping along Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles. Britney was seen trying on a slew of dresses and a few hats before departing in a green halter dress, one of her many purchases of the day.

There were a few rumors circulating that Britney neglected to discipline her children after they were running rampant and cussing at one of the Teen Choice Award suites because she was too preoccupied picking out free swag. Thankfully, those rumors have been cleared up by Britney's escort at the show

"She never stopped at one sponsor station. It was all about the kids. She was devoted to them and was with them the whole time. They were even having a great time with Band Hero and they were all playing with Hasbro's new Bop-It. She never left the boys' side. She could not have been sweeter, and portraying her as an inattentive mother is not true and so not fair."

It's nice to see people sticking up for her. She has worked hard to get back to health, mentally and physically, she should be commended for her progress.

The ‘Case 39′ co-stars - who are rumoured to be dating - flew to the Spanish city on Saturday (08.08.09) and onlookers claim they couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they enjoyed several romantic dinners.

One said: “Bradley and Renee seem smitten with each other and at one point she cheekily grabbed his behind.”

Renee and Bradley - who was recently linked to Jennifer Aniston -reportedly began dating last month after they were seen flirting during dinner at exclusive New York restaurant Antonucci.

Jennifer Lopez uphill struggle to lose baby weight

Jennifer Lopez admits it was an “uphill struggle” to lose her baby weight.

The singer-and-actress - who gave birth to twins Max and Emme in February 2008 - gained 50lbs when she was pregnant and was shocked when it didn’t fall off straight away.

She said: “I thought the weight was going to drop off easily because I’d been in shape my whole life. But it wasn’t easy. It was an uphill struggle. I had gained about 50lbs while pregnant. The first 30lb dropped off like that and I was so pleased. Then I had to lose the last 15 or 20lbs that just didn’t want to go. I had to diet and work out a lot.”

Following her struggle to shift the excess pounds, Lopez is reconsidering her previous vow not to have any cosmetic surgery.

The 40-year-old star - who is married to Marc Anthony - said: “I have to say I feel awesome! I feel the same way I felt when I was in my 20s.

“I don’t see myself having any plastic surgery, but I’m not at that point yet, so I don’t know. I don’t know how I’ll feel when I’m older. But I’m more of a natural person and I believe in beauty not being an outside, physical thing. Luckily, I’m used to seeing myself everywhere now that I no longer obsess about the way I look.

Jennifer Aniston doesn’t mind being seen as a “lonely girl”.

The ‘Baster’ actress - who has had failed relationships with Brad Pitt, Vince Vaughn, Paul Sculfor and John Mayer - insists she is happy, but can understand why her personal life attracts so much negative attention.

She told Elle magazine: “I’m not going to ignore the pink elephant in the living room. It’s fine. I can take it. I am supportive of anybody who is in a place that’s not their strongest but is ready to push forward.

“If I’m the emblem for ‘this is what it looks like to be the lonely girl getting on with her life,’ so be it. I can make fun of myself. And I’ll bring it up as long as the world is bringing it up.”

The former ‘Friends’ star also revealed she has used humour to cope with personal heartbreak.

She said: “My parents made each other laugh like nobody’s business. I put a lot of value in that at a very young age.

“I remember being seven and asking my mom if I was as pretty as my best friend Monique. And with all the love in the world, my mom looked at me and said, ‘Oh, honey, you’re so funny.’ So, she doesn’t lie to me - she answers the question by not answering and instead tells me what she thinks is my greatest strength.”

However, some events in her life - including when her father John Aniston left the family home when she was a child - proved too difficult to handle.

Paris Hilton’s former manager is writing a tell-all book about her.
Jason Moore has reportedly approached a number of publishers about the tome, which claims to be a business book about the steps he took to make Paris famous.
The New York Daily News newspaper claims Jason’s pitch letter states: “Jason will demonstrate how, for 10 years, he managed to save his mercurial client from disgrace by manipulating the media, and Paris herself.
“Paris was oftentimes her own worst enemy, making a sex tape with a former boyfriend, nursing hangovers during photo shoots, falling asleep everywhere, and getting thrown in jail for numerous driving violations. If Paris Hilton didn’t have Jason Moore pulling the strings, cleaning up her messes she could well have faded into oblivion.”

Jason - who parted ways with Paris last year - alleges he did not sign a confidentiality agreement while working for the 28-year-old hotel heiress.
His book is called ‘Controlling Chaos’ and in it he claims Paris did all she could to ensure she became famous.
He says: “She spent hours at a time posing in front of the mirror, nailing down the ideal position to create the perfect paparazzi photo.
“She wanted to become the kind of character that would land commercials, international endorsements, film and TV roles.”
Neither Paris nor James, or his Literary Group agent Frank Weimann, have commented.
Meanwhile, Paris has reunited with her ex-boyfriend Doug Reinhardt.
The pair split in June but Doug is said to have done everything in his power to win Paris back.

Eminem threatens to reveal nude Mariah's pics

The rapper has released a track called ‘The Warning’, which blasts the ‘Fantasy’ singer and her husband Nick Cannon, and threatens to expose the brief relationship they had in 2001 by making public intimate pictures and voice mail messages.

The song comes after Mariah appeared to dress up as Eminem in the music promo for ‘Obsessed’, in which she said he was “delusional” for hinting they had slept together in his track ‘Bagpipes from Baghdad’.

He raps in ‘The Warning’: “Only reason I dissed you in the first place is because you denied seeing me. Now I’m p***ed off. I’m obsessed now. Oh gee, is that supposed to be me in the video with the goatee?

“B***h, shut the f**k up before I put all them phone calls out you made to my house. How many times you fly to my house? Still trying to count. Better shut your lying mouth if you don’t want Nick finding out. You probably think since it’s been so long if I had something on you I woulda did it by now. Following Eminem’s original comments in ‘Bagpipes from Baghdad’, Nick jumped to his wife’s defence, claiming “homeboy is still obsessed with my wife”.

He added: “I realised that this so-called man has just disrespected… one of the world’s most significantly influential artists, one of the most notable black females of our time, the incredibly cherished, globally loved and world-embraced woman of colour, Mariah Carey.”

Mariah herself spoke out about ‘Obsessed’, insisting she wasn’t attacking Eminem in the video.

She said: “Everybody started having their own speculations about who the stalker in the video was. When I look at that stalker and me with the beard, I look like my brother and my cousin Chris. So basically, you know, all the speculation about who I’m playing in the video, it’s not accurate.”

Meanwhile, it has been claimed Mariah sleeps in a Cinderella carriage.

The singer is a huge fan of the rage-to-riches fairytale - in which the downtrodden heroine rides a horse-drawn coach her fairy godmother creates from a pumpkin - and spent over £60,000 for an interior designer to create a replica with a bed inside.

A source said: “She identifies with it because people were hard on her when she was younger.”

Supposed Mother of Jackson's Children is Unstable

Claire Elisabeth Fields Cruise - the woman who claims to be the mother of Michael Jackson's children is reportedly "extremely disturbed and unstable" and has been in and out of mental institutions for years.

Claire Elisabeth Fields Cruise filed a petition with the Los Angeles Superior Court claiming she is the biological mother of Jackson's kids and his wife.

"I am the biological mother of Prince Michael Jackson II (Blanket) and all of his siblings. I am also legally married to the father, Michael Joseph Jackson, who is now deceased. & am engaged to Prince Michael Jackson II's biological father," the petition stated.

Chris Caputo, to whom she claims she is now engaged and says is the biological father one of Michael's babies, tells OK! that he has no ongoing relationship with Claire.

"Claire can be very coherent, until people learn that she is an extremely disturbed and unstable individual," said Chris.

His business partner, Bruce Williamson also said that Claire has a history of mental illness and described her as "extremely delusional".

Bruce said that Claire has claimed to have had relationships with celebrities including Leo DiCaprio and Tom Cruise and that she spends much of her time traveling around the country Greyhound buses looking for a fortune she believes her grandmother told her about.
